the road home – boulder, colorado

This is one of those towns that it would be good to know someone who lives here – come for a visit and find out about the hidden gems. As it was, we simply followed our noses and struck our own path. Our hotel was out on the southeastern edge of town, near the outer edge of the University of Colorado campus. And what that afforded us was a one-mile walk along Boulder Creek Path that took us into the town center. Continue reading

May 5 – Cinco de Mayo – This is one of those holidays that usually passes me by. Sequestered as I am up in northern New England, Mexican independence doesn’t come up in conversation much – I’m not sure I’d know which side I should be drinking for. May 4 – It’s another road day. A day when our only goal is to cover as many miles of America as we can on our way to where we want to go: Denver, Colorado. Twelve hours in the car, and we’re hoping to get seven or eight of them done today, minimum six, which would put us in Green River, Utah, for the night.
