To celebrate New Year’s Eve in style, Wendy and I headed south to Carolina Beach last night for a cruise along the intercoastal waterway, ending with a superb display of fireworks that lit up the waterfront. Then today, keeping with the beach theme, we hit Wrightsville Beach for my first annual New Year’s Day dip in the Atlantic Ocean. I couldn’t get past my knees.
